Pastor Chris Online

Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Pastor Chris Online (www.pastorchris.online) collects, why, and the choices you have. We have written it to match how this website actually works.

Who we are

This website and its services are owned and operated by Pastor Chris Online. Our registered office is at 51/53 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos, Nigeria. Our data protection officer can be reached at the same address, or through our Contact page.

What we collect and why

When you browse. We count visits with our own analytics, built into this website. It uses no cookies and no third-party trackers, and we do not store your IP address. Your browser keeps a random number so we can tell new visitors from returning ones; we only keep a scrambled (hashed) form of it, together with the page you viewed, the site that referred you, your type of browser and device, and how long the page was open. We use this to understand which teachings and services people find helpful and to keep the site fast.

When you sign in with KingsChat. KingsChat tells us your name, KingsChat username, profile picture and account number. We never see your KingsChat password. We use these to sign you in, show your name beside your comments, and send you the KingsChat messages you ask for.

When you send us something. Questions for Pastor Chris, prayer requests, testimonies and comments are stored with your name and any contact details you give. We use them to answer you, to pray with you, and — for testimonies and comments only, after review — to publish them on this website. Questions and prayer requests are never published with your name.

Reminders and devotionals. If you ask for a reminder before a live service, or for the daily Rhapsody of Realities, we send it to your KingsChat account. You can turn these off at any time from your account page.

The legal bases for this are your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interest in running the website and the ministry's services safely. Please do not send us another person's personal information unless they have agreed.

Cookies and similar storage

We use only what the website needs to work:

  • pco_sid — keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. It lasts up to 30 days if you sign in, and 2 days if you don't.
  • pco_lv — remembers that you have already been taken to a live service, so you are not sent there again. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • Your browser's local storage — the random analytics number described above, and small preferences such as how you like the events calendar shown.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. When you play a video hosted elsewhere (for example on YouTube, Vimeo or KingsSpace), that service may set its own cookies under its own policy. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; if you block them, you will not be able to sign in.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:

  • with KingsChat, to sign you in and deliver the messages you ask for;
  • with the ministry teams who answer questions, pray over requests and review testimonies;
  • with the organisations in our group, which have offices and facilities in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Africa and Canada, where that is needed for the purposes above;
  • with the companies that host and secure this website; and
  • where the law requires it, or to protect someone's vital interests.

Giving and partnership. This website does not take payments itself. Gifts and partnership made through the ministry's giving channels are processed by payment providers — KingsPay, PayPal, Stripe, Paystack and Flutterwave — who handle your payment details under their own privacy policies. We never see your full card details.

International transfers

Our group's offices and our hosting are in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Africa and Canada, so your information may be handled in any of these countries. Where it is, we protect it with appropriate safeguards, such as standard data protection clauses. Anything you choose to publish on the website — a testimony or a comment — can be seen around the world.

How long we keep it

  • Visit statistics: about 25 months.
  • Sign-in sessions: 30 days.
  • Your account, questions, prayer requests and comments: while your account is in use, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Records that become part of the ministry's records (for example, a published testimony) are kept under the ministry's records policy — at least 5 and no more than 30 years — or longer only where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where they apply to you, the UK and EU GDPR and other data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it erased;
  • restrict how we use it;
  • object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • complain to a data protection authority — in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or the authority where you live or work; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.

To use any of these rights, write to our data protection officer at the address above or reach us through the Contact page. We may need to confirm who you are before we act.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the website or by KingsChat message.
